Overview

Use the Common Products Found view to understand how your product offerings align with those of your competitors. This view lets you identify which of your products are also being sold by your competitors, offering valuable insights into your market position and the competitive landscape.

You can use this view for:

Assess Market Positioning: Discover which of your products are commonly listed by competitors. This information can help you evaluate how your products fit the broader market and adjust your pricing or marketing strategies accordingly.

Identify Top Competitors: Use this feature to identify your key competitors based on the number of common products they share with you. Knowing which competitors most overlap with your product offerings helps you focus your competitive analysis and strategic planning efforts.

Competitive Analysis: By identifying products that overlap with competitor inventories, you can gain insights into how your competitors position these items. This can inform decisions on how to differentiate your products or identify opportunities for exclusive offerings.

Optimize Product Strategy: This feature will guide decisions on product additions or removals. Understanding which products are commonly sold by competitors can help you identify areas where you may want to compete more aggressively or explore niche opportunities.

Where to find

To access this feature, navigate to Analytics > Common Products Found from the left sidebar.

What you see

On this page, you'll find both a graphical and tabular representation of the data:

  • Graph: A horizontal bar chart displays the number of common products found across various shops. Each bar represents a shop, with the length of the bar corresponding to the number of shared products. This provides a quick visual overview of how product offerings compare across different retailers.

  • Table: Below the graph, a detailed table lists the shops and the exact number of common products for each. This table allows for a more granular exploration of where product overlaps occur, helping you to focus on specific competitors or product categories.

How to Use

Graph

Overview Common Products: The bar chart at the top offers a visual representation of the number of common products shared across different shops. This helps you quickly identify which shops have the most overlap with your product offerings.

Hover for Details: By hovering over any bar in the chart, you can see the exact number of common products for each shop. This feature allows you to drill down into specific details without having to refer to the table below.

Filter by Categories: Use the drop-down menu above the chart to filter the data by specific product categories. This enables you to focus on particular segments of interest, refining the analysis to suit your strategic needs.

Table

Shop Breakdown: The table beneath the graph provides a detailed listing of shops and the number of common products associated with each. This data is invaluable for understanding the extent of overlap between your offerings and those of your competitors.

Search and Sort: You can search through the table using the search boxes below each column header to quickly locate specific shops or filter by the number of common products. Sorting columns can help you prioritize your analysis, such as focusing on shops with the highest or lowest overlap.

Show All Products: For a detailed view of all the common products in a specific shop, click on the "Show" button in the table's last column. This action will expand the list, allowing you to see exactly which products are shared.

For further analysis or presentation purposes, you can export the data shown on this page as a CSV file. This export feature ensures you have access to all the necessary information for in-depth analysis, reporting, or integration with other tools or systems.
