Overview

Discover price shifts in your market with the Products with Increased/Decreased Prices view. This view allows you to see and quantify the price movements of products over the last week, giving you a clear perspective on market trends.

You can use this view for several use cases:

  • Understand Market Trends: Quickly grasp the direction of price movements for products within your industry, allowing you to anticipate shifts and adapt your strategy accordingly.

  • Gain Competitive Intelligence: See how your competitors' pricing strategies evolve, giving you the knowledge to adjust your pricing and maintain a competitive edge.

  • Inform Strategic Planning: Leverage detailed analysis of price changes to guide your pricing, promotion, and inventory decisions.

  • Track Pricing Performance: Evaluate how your pricing adjustments fare against broader market movements, ensuring your strategy remains aligned with current trends.

Where to find

To access the insight, navigate to Analytics> Products with Increased/Decreased Prices from the left sidebar.

What you see

On this page, you can find a graphical representation of the data and a detailed table of weekly price changes:

  • Graph: A bar chart displays the number of products with price increases in green and decreases in purple over the last week, day by day.

  • Table: Beneath the graph, a corresponding table lists the dates and the total number of products changed, with columns for increased and decreased prices.

How to use

Graph

You can use the graph to quickly identify which days saw the most significant price activity.

Overview price changes: Hovering over the chart, you can see the number of price increases/decreases for each time point across all shops and products.

Select shops: Determine which shops you wish to analyze in the drop-down menu. The chart information will be updated based on your selection.

Filter what you see: Change the type of price changes presented by selecting only the products with price increases or decreases.

Table

The table allows for a more granular view, where you can see the exact number of price changes for each day, helping you to pinpoint specific market movements.

In the table, there are five columns where you can find:

  • Date: The specific day when the changes took place

  • Total Products Changed: The number of changes that took place on that day

  • Increased: The total number of price increases on that day

  • Decreased: The total number of price decreases at that day

  • Show All Products: Clicking the eye button will show you all the products for the specific day.

You can also sort each column by name.

Below each header, you can find a search box to quickly filter the data in each column.

If you wish to increase the number of visible entries, click on the "Show entries" dropdown menu.

You can drill down by clicking on a date and will be presented with all the data for this specific day.

You can further drill down to see more information about a specific shop by clicking on the shop's name.

From there, you can drill down to the category level until you find the actual product names by clicking the category name.

How to download the data

If you need to present the data outside the tgndata platform, you can export a CSV file with all the information for more detailed analysis and integration with other tools/systems.
